To make sure your orchid flower lasts, there are some key precautions. Make sure to cut the stem of a faded flower just above the bud (20 to 25 cm from the root). Other important tips:
* Avoid direct sunlight and protect from cold wind traps
* Be sure the room remains between 18 and 21°C
* Immerge the orchid in warm water once a week and drain well before putting it back in its decorative vase (from March to September, add a dose of flower nutrients to the water about once a month)
* Each 2 or 3 years, it is essential to replant your orchid (with a special orchid flower soil mix) to make sure the plant keeps blooming
